What is Phantom?
Phantom is an AI assistant for macOS. Tell it what you need by voice or text, and it can use relevant screen context on demand to help carry out the task.
What can Phantom actually do?
With the permissions and in-app Action Policy you choose, Phantom can type, click, scroll, launch apps, use shortcuts, work with files, and send actions to connected services.
Is my data private?
Phantom combines processing on your Mac with cloud processing when a submitted task uses a cloud-backed feature. It does not continuously watch your screen, and it does not sell personal information. Read the provider and retention details in the Privacy Policy.
Is Phantom watching my screen all the time?
No. Phantom does not continuously inventory your running apps or window titles. It uses screenshots and Accessibility context when a task needs them and only with the macOS permissions you grant. You can change those permissions in System Settings and limit computer actions in Phantom’s Action Policy.
Which apps does it work with?
Phantom can work across macOS apps that expose standard controls, and with supported services you choose to connect. The actions available depend on the app, service, and permissions you grant.
Do I need a Mac?
Yes. Phantom is currently built for macOS and uses Mac-specific permissions and system features.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The starter plan has no monthly subscription charge and includes shared capacity. Pro and Max offer more capacity with monthly or 20%-off yearly billing. Shared starter capacity is not a promise of permanent unlimited availability.
What happens when I reach my usage limit?
You will not be charged an automatic overage. Paid capacity resets each month, including on a yearly subscription, with no rollover or top-ups. Starter cloud usage is subject to shared capacity.
Can I cancel anytime?
You can cancel before the next renewal through the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation normally stops the next charge and takes effect at the end of the current paid period; it does not normally refund that period.
